Something New

Something valuable I have learned from my good friend Nick, is that personal work is so important. This year I have been trying to do a lot more of it. Planning out a shoot, having a good crew around you, being good at having control in any situation.... the list goes on. There is so much you can always be working on. This project was really fun to shoot and I have to thank Walter's Mercedes for letting us shoot their amazing cars. Its fun to diversify as a photographer and explore new things. I love these kinda of shoots because I love all the work that goes into making these images. Its a great challenge. As you know, I love shooters like Almas, Erickson, Neibert and many others for their advertisement work and their consistency in quality. So I challenge you to get out of your normal routine and try shooting something different to stretch yourself and still maintain your look and what you want to communicate to the world as "your style". This project was so much fun to work on. Steph came to me and wanted to recreate a old shot that she had of her mom that was taken about 30 years ago. It was a ton of fun finding a location and matching the vibe. I think we got pretty close!
