I'm the luckiest...

Today we went the orange groves to get a few shots of Brooke and I for our wedding site. Tyler did an awesome job and I will post some later on but here are a few that I snapped between finding good light spots. She is a keeper!

More Sunny Days...

You can't beat this weather. I have been shooting a lot for HÔM recently so I will occasionally throw up a few images. The upcoming annual review is coming up soon and I am very excited for it. Its a great collection of some amazing luxury estates here in Southern California. Its been a great experience shooting for them and as a photographer and has made me much more versatile than I had been before. It has been such a great season of creativity because the work has been very diverse. It is fun to be in a spot where you are not familiar with what is around the corner and have no clue what to expect. For all you photographers and artists out there it is so important that you stretch yourself outside the walls of what we call "fields" and just concentrate on your skill. My buddy Nick Onken always had wise words and just said "shoot, shoot, shoot...". There are so many titles that photographers get into such as "wedding photographers","fashion photographer", or "commercial photographer" and even though you of course will find your nitch in the world of art, you should always spread your wings and focus on your skill. I'm trying to do that right now and am worrying about being a good photographer rather than worrying about what style or field I want to break into deeper. If you love what you do and are good at it, people will see that in your images so I encourage you to take some time to not worry about titles or styles and go shoot whatever you love. I know that was a mini tangent... sorry, haha. Have a great week!

Nick and Julie

Not too long ago I shot a fantastic couple. Nick and Julie obviously wanted to do things a little different so we shot a few images of them on wheels. I have known Nick for years and you need to take a second to check out some tunes that his amazing band is putting out. Its so great to hear music that travels in uncharted territory. The band is called Austin James Band..... be sure to check them out. Minus a wheely went wrong, the shoot was great and we had a blast.... thank you both!

Style Me Pretty

Hi all, I hope this week has been great for you. Easter is an easy holiday to let pass by.... I am trying not to make that the case. This week has been so crazy but it seems to be winding down.... just in time. This weekend Rockharbor is doing easter at the Pacific Amphitheater at the OC fairgrounds. It will be an amazing weekend so if you are not doing anything this year, stop by!

Ok, so I was gonna save this for later but I couldn't wait to post it. Yesterday, we had a great shoot for Cotton Idea Studio. Mindy wanted to try something different so we decided to shoot lifestyle. The shoot turned out great and was so much fun. I have a lot more to post from her awesome shop in Laguna Beach so stop by again soon!

Adrienne and Andrew

This past weekend I got to be a part in capturing an amazing wedding. Adrienne and Andrew had a beautiful ceremony and reception and we had a blast shooting it. Here are a few from the day.
